Josie de Leon School of Performing Arts ANNUAL SHOWCASE
JDLSPA presented their annual student showcase where they displayed their talent in singing and dancing. Their theme for this show is Nostalgia as they sang songs from the 40’s up to the present. They impersonated famous singers and groupd from different era and sang their signa- ture songs. Everthing was going well until those pesky microphones started going mute. You could hear the performers test- ing their mic before backstage only to have no sound come out of their mics when they start singing. They asked the audience to turn off their cellphones as the signals were interfering with the sound system. other than that, the students showed complete mastery of their numbers from the dance to the singing. I did notice one small thing. When somebody came out as Michael Jackson as part of then Jackson 5 group, he sang a song I did not recognize. I was expecting him to sing “I’ll be there.” All in all, it was an enjoyable way to spend the evening. Keep up the good work to everyone.
