Sam Pinto is definitely going at light speed. In just a few years, she’s gone from housemate to household name, shifting effortlessly
between modelling shoots and acting stints. Sam is a girl who is out to prove that she’s not just a pretty face.
At night, she can keep us hanging on every line as she holds her own beside local drama legends. And if your head isn’t spinning yet, she’s now the one who delivers all the hits as a VJ at MTV Pinoy.
Is there anything about showbiz you don’t like?
I can’t really go to public places anymore. I used to take up fashion design and buy my fabrics at Divisoria. But now I can’t go to places like that.
From simply smiling for commercials and advertisements, she’s now the one who makes us laugh in comedy shows.
My favorite would be modelling. I’ve been modelling since I was ten years old so I already know the ropes. It’s much unlike singing, dancing, acting, and hosting which is all new to me. I’m still learning every time I do it.

Leni “Arlene” Santos sa upcoming primetime series na More Than Words.
Unang napanood ang PJ-Leni love team sa kauna-unahang pri- metime soap opera ng GMA na Anna Liza noong 1980s.
Nanatiling aktibo sa showbiz si PJ, samantalang nagpasyang mani- rahan si Leni sa Amerika kung saan siya nag-asawa at nagkaroon ng dalawang anak.
“Natutuwa talaga ako dahil eto na naman kami ni PJ, magkasama na naman,”ani Leni. “Oo nga at thank you, Leni Santos, at pinagbigyan mo ang production na ‘to at kaming lahat na magsama tayong ulit,” tugon ni PJ. Malaki raw ang magiging papel nila sa kanilang comeback TV series. Ang kwento ng nasabing teleserye ay iikot sa kanilang dalawa at pati kina Elmo Magalona, Janine Gutierrez at Jaclyn Jose.
“Excited po ako na marami na naman kaming mapapasaya, mga dati na naming followers ng Leni-PJ na mapapanood na nila kami ulit. Malapit na, dito ulit sa GMA,” saad ni PJ. “And happy din kami na kasama namin ‘yung bagong love team ngayon, si Elmo Magalona and Janine Gutierrez,” dagdag ni Leni.
Proud din si PJ sa takbo ng career ng kanyang anak na si Carla.
Sa kanyang panayam sa 24 Oras, ikinuwento niya, “All the while ang alam ko ayaw niyang mag-artista or pumasok ng show business. Look at her now, she’s in the busi- ness.”

Destiny co-star na si Dennis Roldan. Gabbi plays the role of Nicole, ang girlfriend ni Paul, played by Ruru Madrid.
Si Dennis naman ang ama ni Paul na si Mateo. Last August 26, the Pasig City regional trial court found Dennis Roldan, o Mitchell Gumabao in real life, guilty of kidnapping a Filipino- Chinese boy in 2005. Hinatulan siya ng reclusion perpetua o 30 na taong pagkakabilanggo.
“Ever since the first day of taping, si Tito Dennis is very mabait sa akin,

“Kasama ko lang siya last week, tapos first thing in the morning, ‘yung ang unang bumungad sa akin sa Twitter. Na-shock ako, at habang sinusubaybayan ko lahat ng articles, sobrang nakaka-sad kasi nagkaroon na rin kami ng pinagsamahan.”
